A note from the Executive Director
Dear Friends,
2011 has been a tremendous year in the life of Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh. With your support, we repaired the homes of 150 of our region’s most at-risk senior, veteran, and disabled residents.
Frankly, we could not have done it without you. With energy and enthusiasm for our cause, you volunteered your time and expertise evaluating homes, ensuring that our aging homeowners receive the adaptive equipment and modifications they needed to continue living safely, or helped apply those two coats of paint that made the biggest difference to someone who can no longer climb the step ladder to do it themselves.
Thanks to your donations and house sponsorships, our noble intentions had the resources to become a reality; leaky roofs were patched, broken windows were replaced, and more than a few rickety stairways were made safe.
Though we celebrate these successes, we know that the need for our service is only increasing. With your continued support, we intend to grow to meet that need. Next year, Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh will be increasing our impact, aiding even more low-income homeowners, and celebrating our 20th Annual Rebuilding Day on April 28th, 2012.
Thank You for all that you have done this year, and over the past 19 years, to contribute to our mission of bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need.
May you receive many blessing in 2012,
Steve Hellner-Burris
Executive Director
