Target Communities
Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh’s commitment to the repair and preservation of affordable housing is reaching new levels this year. While our program continues to provide critical home repairs to low-income seniors, our service model is adapting to also help address the more community-wide challenges of blight, delinquency and disengagement in some of Pennsylvania’s most high-need neighborhoods.
This year, nearly 1,500 volunteers will storm the streets of our target areas of the Hilltop, West Pittsburgh and the Penn Avenue Corridor to provide free home repairs for low-income seniors, beautification projects for neighborhood streets, and even community block-parties aimed at bringing neighbors together.
As part of our commitment to our Target Communities, Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh has partnered with agencies and leaders who are spearheading redevelopment and revitalization efforts.
