The Hilltop

The ten communities of the Hilltop represent a classic example of “next-door neighborhoods”; a cluster of uniquely challenged areas that share the same markets, transit routes, schools, public safety issues, and workforce as the stronger areas just next door. With development happening at a fevered pitch in nearby Southside and the Southside Slopes, Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh has targeted the Hilltop Community as an area in need of stabilization and revitalization of it’s housing stock.

Rebuilding Together has partnered with the Hilltop Alliance and The Office of Mayor Luke Ravenstahl to better assist the needs of homeowners in the Hilltop. As part of the Hilltop Alliance’s “Keeping Homes on the Hilltop” program, Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh will aid qualifying seniors with free home repairs and emergency repair services.

Since 2005, Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh has completed 50 repair projects in the Hilltop communities.
