West Pittsburgh

The West Pittsburgh neighborhoods are within close proximity to the city center, maintain a high rate of homeownership and offer sweeping views of the Greater Pittsburgh Area from the popular West End Overlook. Despite displacements and depopulation over time in the area, West Pittsburgh remains an affordable and viable asset to Pittsburgh.

Rebuilding Together has gained support from the Office of District 2 Councilperson Theresa Kail-Smith to concentrate our efforts block by block in the eight neighborhoods that comprise West Pittsburgh. And we work with the West End Elliott Citizens Council to reach out and find homeowners that need our help. Together, our presence and sustained impact are strengthened by our community partners here in West Pittsburgh.

Recently, we completed work on five homes on Lorenz Avenue in Elliott and since 2005, Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh has completed over 30 projects in West Pittsburgh.
