At Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, we believe
everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home.
everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home.
That is why we provide low-income homeowners with critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, and energy-efficient upgrades. Together with over 20,000 volunteers, we have transformed the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing their communities in nearly 2,750 rebuild projects in Allegheny County in 27 years.
Our Mission
Repairing Homes, Revitalizing Communities, Rebuilding Lives.
Our Vision
Safe homes and communities for everyone.
Our History
Founded in 1993 through the generous support of The Master Builders Association of Western Pennsylvania and the Greater Pennsylvania Regional Council of Carpenters, RTP celebrates 27 years of service. What began as an all-volunteer organization completing a handful of modest housing rehabs is now an organization with an annual budget over $3 million that supports the work of over 30 staff completing more than 130 physical rehabilitation projects annually for low-income homeowners in Allegheny County.
As we rebuild homes for seniors, veterans, and persons with physical disabilities, our lasting impact helps to stabilize and revitalize our region's neighborhoods. The majority of our work is completed in places we call our Comprehensive Impact Neighborhoods. Thousands of homeowners in these distressed neighborhoods lack the resources to maintain their homes. When a homeowner lacks the financial resources to maintain their home, unhealthy and dangerous situations increase.
No one should have to call an unsafe place home. Learn how you can help and get involved by donating and volunteering!
